and now that you got me started on it. No, I do not think 15 million for Kobe Bryant is that great when D Wade got only a million more, and Kevin Martin and Jason Richardson got far less. No, I do not think 10 million over 4 years for Gasol is that great when Tyson Chandler, Al Harrington and Andrew Bogut get 6 million less. Parker is a good deal, and Nash, Howard and Turk certainly were discounts. For the most part, you guys way overpaid for 30 something big names that have peaked when similar players with far more upside got a whole lot less. I would have taken Wade over Kobe as well... I was tied up with bids at the time he came off, so I was unable to go higher on him. Kevin Martin and J-Rich CANNOT compare to Kobe. Not even close. Kobe gives you 26-5-5 with 1.5 steals and threes, good FG and FT%. He also NEVER misses a game (knock on wood). J-Rich has already been suspended, and Kevin Martin is a lock to miss about 20 games a year. Also, Martin gives you what? Points and threes? Don't even get me started on Richardson. Is 15 mil for Kobe over the next four years a little much? Maybe. Is he on the decline? Somewhat. But the guy is still a top-5 fantasy player. As for Gasol. Chandler and Bogut are injury risks Neither of them come close to Pau when healthy. Upside, shmupside (yes, I said shmupside). I want to win a title now. Why would I let the guys that I KNOW will produce go by the wayside, just so I can take guys I HOPE will produce? That's the reason I went for Pau, Kobe, Nash, Parker, and Shard.... and let people overpay for Stuckey (yet to prove dick as a PG), Jason Thompson (7 mil?), Spencer Hawes (also 7 mil!?), and Charlie Villanueva. That's not to say I don't think any of those guys won't be good (I think CV will be a stud, and Thompson will be very good down the road). But I'm thinking short term. And in the short term, the players I signed give me the best chance to win. Besides, I have my upside players. Anthony Randolph may have the most potential in the league right now (tell me he doesn't remind you of a real life Antawn Tyler from "The 6th Man."). Lou Will at 700k is a steal (just look at his numbers when he was PG!). Rudy Fernandez should get better, as will Brook Lopez and Devin Harris.

lol. You might of won FA but i have the best team so far. People might think that Bonner sucks but he was a steal. He is a great 3pt threat him and roger mason.
Jkidd- Top 5fantasy PG for at least the next 2years 8PPG 7 Assist and 6 Rebs
Tmac-With Yao who the hell is going to score. 20 PPG 4Assist
Kevin Martin No one goes to the line more then him 22PPG 2.3 Assist good FT good FG
Bonner,Mason- Great 3point shooters both shooting over 40% last year and they shoot alot.
Amare- Might to over paid put 22 10 1.6 is hard to find if he can come back strong.
Lopez- I took a chance on him.

Well, tell me then, outside of D-Will, CP3, and Billups, who would be considered better? Don't say Rose, because the numbers are not on his side. Or Rondo.
I'll start with Nash, because your points are ludicrous. Really? Steals are going to be the dealbreaker? Here's some stats to ponder:
Nash in February and March, after they went back to the uptempo style:
21-9-3, 0.7 steals, 53% FG, 94% FT, 1.7 threes per game. 16-10-2, 1 steal, 60% FG, 88% FT, 1 three per game.
And he did that WITHOUT Amare. Did I mention I got him for just 4.7 mil?
As for Parker.... I can't really say anything. His numbers are very similar to Devin Harris, yet you say he is not of Harris' caliber. I find that odd. We are also forgetting that Parker had to take on a much larger workload offensively last season because of the Ginobili injury, and Duncan's breakdown towards the end of the year. A healthy Manu, healthy Duncan, and newly acquired Jefferson will take some of the scoring load off of Parker. This will allow him to get more assists, and steals as he will have more energy on defense.
Here's a very important stat for everyone. There were five PGs to shoot 50% or better. Just five. I have two of them. That is HUGE in the fantasy game because PGs tend to have terrible FG%'s. At the moment, I'd say my weaknesses are block and rebounds. But that's about it.

Kidd- not gonna argue there. Just thought that paying 5.7 mil for him, when Nash went for 4.7 was a little questionable.
T-Mac- he won't even be back until about a month or two in to the season, if at all.
Kevin Martin- what else is he going to give you?
Bonner, Mason- probably going to see decreased playing time with Blair, McDyess, and RJ in town.
Amare- if he comes back healthy, its a great signing. If not.....
Lopez- low-risk, high reward, not bad.

How can you say that you have the best overall team, when I have seven guys (Kobe, Gasol, Lewis, Nash, Parker, Harris, Lopez) that you could argue are in the top-40. Two specialists (Fernandez, Anderson), and two players (Randolph, Lou Will) that could vault into top-50 discussion with the increased PT they are likely to get? You can't. Is your team good? Yeah. Are the best? I don't think so.

OK Miege I went to the ESPN Top 100 Fantasy Board at 31 July to have a look.
This is the PG rankings;
Paul - 2 Williams - 9 Nash - 17 Billups - 20 Harris - 22 Kidd - 26 Calderon - 34 Rondo - 35 Rose - 39 Davis - 42 Ellis - 43 Parker - Here you go coming in at 44
That makes 10 PG's ahead of Parker!!
Now for the record I did not say Harris is a better player than Parker. Purely from a fantasy perspective he is cos he gives you more of everything. As opposed to dominating 2 or 3 cats.

Honestly though, I can't wait till the season starts if only to see what Anthony Randolph does. I've been watching his highlights on youtube the last two days.... he's a freak.
He's got the potential to be a 20-10-5-3-3 player. If he develops a three point shot, look out.

Yeah, I saw that list.... and I think you could debate every player outside of CP3, D-Will, Billups, and Nash. And it could be a case of being slightly biased towards Parker because I had him in Siddy's league last year, and there were a lot of weeks where he kept me in the game by himself.

Yeah I really wanted to take Randolph at #4 in the Expansion Draft but thought it was too early so I went Horford. I knew he wouldn't be there on the way back through. Randolph that is.
But I agree. Bring on the NBA.

Horford at four is a great pick.... you know what you are going to get, and he is young enough to improve.
