WOW what a trade. Great job guys. I very much like it for Orlando. If Knox busts then getting Rubio and rights to Porter will be viewed as an absolute steal. He shouldnt bust tho so I understand the bet on him from the Nets. Memphis always gets his, young contributor and a pick, I'm curious what's their next move aside from Dipos re-sign. Tampa takes a flyer on Winslow, because why not.
Kudos to all of yall!!

I feel like this was pretty solid for everyone.

I do think I solved most of my roster puzzle by cashing in valuable players that I couldn't resign all (I wasn't set on resigning Dipo but just figured out what the most value was for the 3 of him, Embiid and Porter), while gaining enough cap room to resign 1 and be able to fill out my roster. There's still some balancing left to do but at least I don't have the risk to lose too much value. @miege it's hard work out a deal that's equal in isolation, because every team wants to "win" a trade, but winning becomes relative when you take into account the team's roster. As long as there's a big enough difference in rosters, there's a possibility for every team to win, which was the case in our deal I believe

Both of the deals we made were really simple negotiations, and the last one was literally just him asking if I wanted Brogdan for 14 and me saying yes. He joked about wishing it was always that easy, and we both agreed too many want to make every too lopsided in their favor... most of the time.

Its funny but I feel like there is a drastic difference between us all on how we value the same players.

It would be a little boring if we all valued guys the same way haha

There's enough elements to be valued differently in order to make deals possible. Of course you can push "winning" a trade too far but in the end you need to gain something in order to make a trade right, why would you make a trade otherwise? But what is gained can be different.

Trades are a negotiation.
A willing seller and a willing buyer.
Win = Win.
It is not about who wins the trade.
It comes down to whatever meets the needs of your team.

It comes down to whatever meets the needs of your team. 100 Also if its two championship contenders its much more difficult to agree to terms of a trade. Much more so than two tankers or two up-and-coming teams. For example in the NBA you'll never see Houston and Golden State make a trade.

The Raptors gave up almost NOTHING for Kawhi. Damn!
I hope Kawhi is open to staying there.

DeRozan is almost nothing? I don't like him fantasy wise but calling him almost nothing seems like a stretch?

Holy shit what a bomb in the morning. Worst case scenario the Raptors cleared cap space with 2 expiring coming in. They were going nowhere with DeRozan, no chance vs Boston or Philly going forward. I love this deal for them, potential finals appereance is worth the gamble. Im curious how the Spurs will look. So many mid range chucking players with DeMar, LMA, Gay, Murray who cant shoot it as well..we'll see

In addition to DeRozan, they gave up Poeltl, who is fine, and a 2019 pick protected 1-20 for KAWHI LEONARD and Danny Green. They managed to keep all their young guards and wings, and if Kawhi leaves, they have a chance to retool on the fly.
