This writeup is really something, Miege. It speaks of how much you know about this league from the very begining. What an effort you have made here. Congrats on this masterpiece.

Miege asking me to write the Director’s Cut for my Portland 2018 team is just reliving heartbreak all over again. Oh what could have been.

Here's a list of teams that were right on the outside looking in:
2011 Tampa Bay Bull Sharks (17-1) 2017 Memphis Grizzlies (15-1) 2015 Las Vegas Gamblers (14-2) 2010 Cleveland Cavaliers (18-2) 2017 Washington Wizards (14-2) 2017 Tampa Bay Bull Sharks (14-2)
I miss anyone?

The 2016 Houston Rockets (13-3). With their post-season accomplishments, I think they deserve recognition more than the 2018 iteration of the Rockets, who were on the list.

To stir a bit of discussion (without hating), I'm doubting the #3 spot of the 2016 Bull Sharks. To go 14-2 when competition isn't that strong doesn't sound worthy of a top 3 placement, and looking at the roster I don't see an unstoppable team like the others in the top 5.
Miege, what were your thoughts on placing them above the 2011 Thunder and 2018 Grizzlies?
I wasn't around in 2011 but that OKC team sounds like a comparable team but with peak D12 added on top. But maybe it's just my preference for certain types of players that makes me feel like the 2011 Thunder were a better team (I don't like high volume/low efficiency/narrow contributor type players like LaVine and Wiggins).
Obviously the results are an edge over the 2018 Grizzlies, but does that trump the tougher competition and the IT factor?

Must have been pretty unstoppable considering I didn’t lose after week 2 and it was the second consecutive championship for me (third overall). And to be fair, 4 of the top 5 teams were unstoppable considering they won championships. I mean, what’s more impressive? Losing 2 games, then winning 17 in a row and winning a championship...or winning 17 games in a row, then lose 1 game and not making the finals? Isn’t a championship the ultimate measure of success? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
