I’m still in shock of what happened last night. The injury really killed my mood for the rest of the game. Props to Steph and Klay for holding down the fort with those threes, I thought that Ibaka + Kahwi stretch was gonna be the momentum swing to bring Toronto the ship. Looks like being in the finals for 5 straight years is a factor for how the warriors handle elimination games.
Does this KD injury bring longer rest in the future or convince players Not to return until fully healthy? Was he pressured or did he truly want to back not 100%? You got IT fucking up his hip and now KD messing up the Achilles. I even got flashbacks of the dreaded day Kobe tore his Achilles.. dude was playing 45+ MPG in 2 week stretch trying to carry his team To the playoffs.

I think the NBA really needs to look at reducing the regular season by 6-8 games. I also wonder if they should consider having players (who miss more than a week) visit an independent third party, non-affiliated with the team doctor before returning. Makes you wonder if the front office is pressuring these guys to play and if the team doctors aren’t complicit. As for KD, I don’t buy for a second that the warriors medical stuff believed he couldn’t aggregate or exacerbate his injury. No way.

Yeah I’m curious to see if they ever do something with the amount of games played for regular or playoff season. There’s the thought that 16 teams shouldn’t even make the playoffs in the first place. I can understand that l but I don’t think the NBA wants to miss out on that playoff money. Interesting idea with the third doctor idea, I’m sure Kahwi would love that lol. But yeah no way the staff thought the possibility of a reinjury was 0,imo Bob Myers was faking that dramatic apology. Doesn’t matter but I Hope KD wanted to do this was the main deciding factor as opposed to the pressure of team.

Good job, Raptors. Good job.
Also, holy shit, Pascal Siakam is untouchable now.

🍾🍾 finally the GSW dynasty may be over.
Looks they will not have Durant or Klay all of next season.
Unfortunate for both players - i would have preferred they bolted to end it not injuries.

Klay...man. I was ecstatic to watch Warriors lose, but to see these guys suffer potentially career altering injuries sucks.
