How is this a loophole? Miami played TO WIN, that was his only chance to try and steal it. The only time I've seen a team blatantly tank in this league was when Tampa tanked last week matchup to play me in the playoffs rather than Brooklyn, but it was a playoff seeding type of deal so it wasn't a huge matter. What is going on here lol

When i said he tanked? I just show you, that you can justify tanking by claiming it is strategy to win, but dosen't work.

I mean, it would take a group of pretty stupid mods to fall for someone using this as a "strategy." Saying that it could be used as a strategy, honestly, tells me that that person has a super low opinion of the people tasked with keeping things running smoothly.

Just build the best team, play your team and win. I guess this sitting players is trendy this days.

I can get behind your point that it could be a way to cover up tanking, that's a fair point and I think we should be careful for that. However, I don't think the right measure against that is to forbid sitting players at all times. You take away a legitimate strategy to win that way. We could discuss any other rules that could help prevent tanking, but I don't think it's really necessary. Is there another reason why you dislike a team sitting players? I don't think the comparison to real basketball holds because this is fantasy and it's really different, since there are other factors that determine who wins and what's needed to win or even score.

Maybe this is kind of romantic approach, but i believe you should play your players to win, not sitting them on the bench to win. If you got 11 players active, sure play who you want ( i guess this is tanking too, if you are not playing your best possible team ) but how can i expect from anyone to play best possible team, if we allow to put strategy that allow us to play half of our team, when it suits us.

Would the same apply for inconsistent prospects? A lot of times it makes sense to sit them while they adjust to the NBA level.

This is just getting too weird. Why would you play guys if the only chance you have to win is by sitting guys to try and win the TO category? As an example... Say you were handily winning STEALS, ASSISTS, REBS, BLOCKS going into the final day and you were also winning by TOs by 1. This means you have a 5 category advantage. Now, let’s pretend your opponent is handily winning 3PM, FG%, FT%, and POINTS....say you’ve got 5 guys playing and your opponent has 1... are you playing anyone? You’re winning 5-4 already, you comfortably lead in 4 categories and all you’ve got to do is sit your lineup to hold onto TOs — meaning you win 5-4 if you don’t play anyone. Are you telling me you aren’t sitting your players? Because that’s what you’re saying.

Inconsistency is really something that you can't predict, so you could end up with sitting him in great game and play him while he sucks. I got Ingram and Doumbouya in PF, if i will play Doumbouya instead of BI is that cool or tanking ? Play your best players and you never know what could happend. My team was 16th in initial PR, while some guys got me in 18th. I won against 6th and 7th in same ranking. Believe me i done that by playing best possible lineup all the time and not thinking who can do what and when.

Next time if someone want to win, just drop me a message the day you are winning and we will stop setting lineups from that day, is that deal ? What is the point of that conversation anyway ? Seriously.
