Figured this could serve as the discussion thread for the playoffs. Playoff previews up shortly

So if you go back and look at the playoff results thread for each of the last 11 seasons (save last year since the playoffs were shut down), you'll notice that they've been updated with brackets. Here's one example: miege.proboards.com/thread/4791/playoff-results

Something interesting I just realized... if you were to ask "who are the favorites in each match-up?", I think we'd all more or less agree that the answer would be
Tampa Chicago Houston Seattle
HOWEVER, all four of those teams LOST to their playoff opponent in the regular season. Tampa lost to Boston. Chicago lost to Miami. Houston lost to Portland. And Seattle lost to Kansas City. I honestly can't remember the last time that's happened, if it's ever happened.

hot take: miami will pull off the upset. WCJ will be series MVP.

gonna also add that KCK has no business being in the playoffs with that roster. incredible.
and GSW is probably the best team not to even be in the playoff hunt in a long time.

hot take: miami will pull off the upset. WCJ will be series MVP. This is actually possible, Chicago struggles on defense (11th in steals and 19th in blocks), they're also not super efficient (14th in FG%) so if your team can take care of those while getting TOs (which are a given tbh) then you need only one more category. This one might be a lot closer than a lot of people may think. Only true BYE is Tampa vs Boston.

You know, if Collins were healthy, I'd actually have to think about who would be the favorite in that Miami/Chicago match-up.
And Kansas City... man, on the one hand you think "their schedule was easy"... but on the other hand, they did beat Portland, Boston, OKC, Seattle and Minnesota AND they came within a turnover of beating Utah. They were legitimately one turnover away from finishing tied for the best record in the league lol.

You are far more confident in my team right now than I am lol I have 4 reliable players available - Simmons, Powell, Kanter and Embiid who probably won't play back to backs. It's more about my team not being playoff worthy right now, easy 7-2 win for you imo.

We need Poopy to come flying in here boasting about his team and guaranteeing a championship. Too much humbleness right now lol

Oh, also, I just want to note that Poopy never saw the preview ahead of time, so him changing his name to "The Joker" was unrelated to my calling him the league's version of the joker in the preview. Kind of weird, actually.
