I am reading in amazement.
Does anyone know if it's true or just to a smokescreen to through the others off.
But how can the Nets not select Favors with pick #3?

I needed someone to rant to, and nobody in the family seemed keen to listen to me talk basketball. So here are my thoughts on the first sixteen picks... T_T 1. John Wall to Washington is either going to be the greatest move of the draft, or the worst. He's already been guaranteed the starting pointguard job, and I haven't yet read anything about Arenas' comments on that. Speaking of Arenas, is moving to the 2-guard going to help cut down on his turnover numbers? Also, since Boston waived him in this league, can I make bids at the beginning of free agency? . Oh, one more thing on the Wizards: they have no legitimate small forward. Drafting Evan Turner could have ended their reliance on the Dominic McGuire-types. 2. Why in hell would the Kings draft DeMarcus Cousins?! Based on his less-than-smooth transition into college ball (averaged 18.6 minutes and 3.5 fouls in his first 13 games), he's not going to make a huge impact his first season. The Kings already have a frontcourt that matches that description (Spencer Hawes, Jason Thompson, Sean May, Jon Brockman...) 3. Ekpe Udoh to the Warriors? I can't see a better match. This dude can block shots (10 against Morgan St., 9 against Texas Tech, 8 against Arkansas). He can replace Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf, and I think he has more potential than those two on the post. If he works at it, then, man this dude could be great. 4. The Jazz shouldn't have drafted Gordan Hayward. He should have gone to the"We're going to try to assemble the most white people on an NBA roster Pacers" just one pick later. But in all seriousness too, CJ Miles and Wes Matthews were effective interchanging SG/SF. They should have drafted Cole Aldrich or Patrick Patterson as a player that can replace Mehmet Okur. Someone to replace Okur that doesn't have a "y" in his first name and last name isn't Freshenko. 5. Ed Davis to the Raptors is smart. If Bosh stays, which I doubt he will, he can mentor Davis. In my opinion, they have a similar frame 6-10/225 (Davis) and 6-10/230 (Bosh) and could be very similar players...that is, if Davis is willing to hit the weight room/work on defense. If Bosh goes, then they;d have a homeless man's Chris Bosh to take his place. 6. Eric Bledsoe to the Thunder. Man, whoever's making picks for the Thunder is really good at it. James Harden, and now Eric Bledsoe. The Thunder have an ass-load of young talent, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were the Western Conf. Champs this upcoming year. Oh yeah, and who decided to list Bledsoe as a point guard, I always thought he played the 2...

1. Wall to the Wizards could be the best move in the draft, but it sure as hell won't be the worst. He was clearly the best player in the draft, and he'll be a star.
2. Cousins, if his head is on straight, will be a beast of a big man. As for the four guys you mentioned: Hawes was traded to Philly, May sucks and is on the verge of eating himself out of the league, Brockman is an 11th or 12th man, and Thompson is decent. Cousins gives them a legit center.
3. Golden State is a clusterfuck. But I hope Ekpe gets minutes.
4. Not sure why they would be replacing Okur, he's still under contract, no? And I actually liked the Hayward pick for them.
5. I agree.
6. Bledsoe is a PG, he just had to play SG at Kentucky because of that John Wall guy. However, the OKC point is moot because he got traded to the Clippers.

Wait until after free agency to decide that... If they end up with LeBron and Bosh, you'll look like an idiot

as a semi-Warriors fan (live in Bay Area, but fan of Rockets, you really can't be a Warriors fan with that ownership), I just can't wait until they sell the team. I really hoped we could get DeMarcus Cousins because the Kings already had Dalembert, but alas, it wasn't to be. Udoh? Really? At least he weighs more then 100 pounds. Are you serious, Warriors? And now, another rant. Why did Daniel Orton go before good centers like Pitman, Whiteside, and Alabi. The guy averaged 3 points and 3 rebounds in college. I bet even I can do that! I mean, I know the Magic need a good backup to Dwight, but Orton, really? Why? I do like the Rockets Patterson pick though. He is a good SF/PF off the bench and we Rockets should be title contenders now that Fisher will fail because he is old.

I just found out Landry Fields got drafted! Living five minutes away from Stanford, I've seen this guy play, and he is good. I would call him a lower-middle class Danilo Gallinari, except less 3s and more rebounds and low post scoring. I thought know one would notice because Stanford sucks at basketball, but they did not, so steal for the Knicks.

I mean, I know the Magic need a good backup to Dwight, but Orton, really? Why? To quote Bill Simmons, "the Magic took Kentucky's second-string center to be their third-string center. Their scouts loved the way he applauded teammates, played in garbage time and handled layup lines." and this simply pisses me off: www.suntimes.com/sports/basketball/2432356,jon-scheyer-sherron-collins-nba-draft-25.article
