Gonna be a little shorter this week. West is now 43-25 against the East.
Portland (8-6) over Houston (10-4), 7-2
The Blazers pulled off the massive upset to keep their playoff hopes alive. It sets up a huge showdown with the Kansas City Kings. Houston fails to clinch a playoff spot, but, unless things go totally sideways, they should still make it. All they need is one win in their last two games to officially clinch.
Seattle (8-6) over Tampa Bay (8-6), 7-1-1
The Sonics snapped the Bull Sharks' win streak while also keeping their hopes alive. It was a dominant win, and it sets them up for a potential play-in game the last week of the season against Portland. However, they are going to have to get through Memphis first. Things for the Bull Sharks are going to get tricky with Washington and Colorado both winning this week. Tampa Bay can all but clinch their spot with a win over Washington.
Washington (6-8) over Brooklyn (9-5), 5-4
The Wizards managed to win by one steal and, as it turns out, aren't actually eliminated from playoff contention (I made a serious error with the playoff projections for Washington and Colorado which I will explain in the playoff chase thread. My apologies to everyone). It sets up a MUST WIN against Tampa Bay. If they can pull that off, there's a chance they could sneak in. Brooklyn will likely get in as the result of Atlanta blowing things up.
Kansas City (9-5) over Minnesota (6-8), 7-2
The Kings jumped out to big lead to start the week, then managed to hold on to gain the inside track on the third spot in the West. A win over Portland won't guarantee a spot, but a win and a Seattle loss will clinch a spot.
Colorado (6-8) over Toronto, 4-3-2
The Swannies, like the Wizards, are also still alive thanks to Tampa Bay's loss. They play the winless Cavs and the rudderless Wolves to end the season. It's not out of the question that they win out.
Chicago (8-6) over Atlanta (8-6), 6-3
Win and the Bulls are in. They get Utah next.
Oklahoma City (8-6) over Orlando (4-10), 8-1
The Thunder smashed Orlando to get to 8-6. They get the Nets next.
Las Vegas (4-10) over Utah (8-6), 5-4
The Gamblers shocked the Jazz, and Utah might be in a little trouble now. They play a red hot Chicago team then OKC to finish the season.
Memphis (13-1) over Cleveland (0-14), 6-3
The Grizzlies have now clinched the #1 seed.
Boston (10-4) over Golden State (5-9), 8-1
The Celtics may have won the trade deadline moving for Ben Simmons. They're also now alone in the top spot in the East and, given their schedule, should stay there when the playoffs start. They get Atlanta next.
