When you take over a team, you are allowed to move them to another city in the country. However, you must meet the following criteria: 1. The franchise you are moving has NEVER won a championship in that city. Unfortunately Portland has never won a championship. We went to the Finals in 2018 but lost out to Brooklyn.2. You may only move your team to a city that would realistically host an NBA franchise (for example, a city like Topeka would not be able to support an NBA team, as they do not have the facilities). Miami. Duh. Its like the Southeastern capital of the United States. A multicultural melting pot. Beaches. Bikinis. Rick Ross. What more do I need to say?3. You may NOT move your team outside the continental United States. I mean Miami is known as North Cuba. Miami isn't even part of the United States really, but technically it is so this passes.4. You must submit an application for relocation to the Permission for Relocation board in the Commissioner's office. This hereby shall be the application.5. Your application must include the following: -Specify reasons for leaving First and foremost, I'm from Miami and I live in Miami so obviously I want my home team. Second, no better way to take down Brooklyn and Tampa Bay than to infiltrate from the inside. Third, ummm yeah ya'll can have the West smh.-Set a timeline of where you plan on your team being from years 1-5 Miami. Biscayne -soon to be Dwyane Wade- boulevard. Champs of this league.-Get permission from other team if you are moving them to city with another team. The closest is Tampa Bay. Why does Tampa Bay even have a team? The only redeeming quality of that city is Gasparilla. -If moving them to an unoccupied city, you must state why the city you want to move to would want you to move there. Because Miami is a basketball town thanks to the shitty Dolphins.-Come up with new name, logo, colors (or you can just keep the ones you have). There isn't a more beautiful logo in all of sports.-Finally, it will be voted on by the league, and you will need 2/3rds approval. 6. Lastly, be realistic. If you take over a team such as the Cavaliers or Suns, those teams aren't moving anytime soon. Don't expect to be able to move them here either (same goes for Boston, LA, San Antonio, etc.)

NOTE FROM THE COMMISH:
This move, if approved, will go into effect at the start of the 2020-2021 season. To accomodate this move, Colorado will be moved from the Southeast division to the Pacific division.

Using the vice color scheme really puts it over the top, for me.

Sigh! Portland is terrified of my Large, wet poopies that he is changing divisions. The East is straight trash, so not surprising of the move! Enjoy being a loser forever!!! You could have been a king! I was about to knight you and now you have turned into my mortal enemy! Straight peasant! I send you to the stocks!

This has passed.
Portland will be in Miami next season and will compete in the Southeast division.
If you own a Portland draft pick, please update that to reflect Miami.
Ferns, you'll want to wait until the season is over to make that adjustment, obviously.
