Though if lonzo continues to be a dud, maybe my initial sentiment holds.

These injuries make lineup selection way harder, I feel like I keep second-guessing myself.

Welp, the East is over. No Fox, Bron, Murray, LaVine or Sabonis.
Gonna go ahead and call this a walkover.

Hold on, is there a consolation bracket for other teams? I just found out I won a matchup vs OKC last week without setting the roster lol

One week to go, and we could be looking at two new finalists. Here's where things stand:
Chicago leads Tampa Bay, 4-1-1 To be honest with you all, I don't even know how this one is close. Tampa Bay has played the whole match-up without LaVine, LeBron, Sabonis, Burks and Murray. Sure, Chicago has been without Mitchell, but they've got a nearly 100 minutes advantage. Tampa Bay is clinging to leads in percentages and assists. They'll play the rest of this match-up without Fox, and it's unlikely any of the five mentioned above come back. And yet... there's still hope, somehow. As things stand now, they're looking at playing 8 fewer games than Chicago. That doesn't necessarily doom them in the percentages, and it should help in turnovers. They've crushed blocks to the point where they should win that category. At that point, they would just need to pick off assists, rebounds or steals. It'll be tough, and Chicago is probably the overwhelming favorite at this moment, but it's doable. However, Julius Randle has been on a mission, and here's where we pivot to talk about how incredible Randle has been. He had a tough opener to this match-up, but he's exploded the last two games, putting up 41-11-6 and 31-10. He's been so good, that Chicago is undoubtedly wishing they had him for more than 6 games in this match-up. He also, probably should have been considered at least a little bit for MVP. Other than that, special shout out to Payton Pritchard for knocking down 10 threes. Monday is going to be instructive.
Seattle leads Houston, 5-4 No offense to the East, but this is the heavyweight match-up we're all here for. Houston wiped out a 40-rebound advantage in one day to bring this margin to where it's currently at, with Seattle hanging onto field goal percentage and steals. As things stand, Houston is looking at a one game edge for the the coming week, but, as always, that can change dramatically. In week one of this match-up, Houston held a minutes advantage of almost 70 minutes, but some uncharacteristically good free throw shooting from the Seattle bigs has them ahead. The Rockets do get five games each from Lowry and Trent, but they've played so poorly to this point that they probably wish that was only three each. Some ups and downs for both sides in terms of player trajectories. Steph and Draymond only play three games each, Whiteside appears to be back out of the rotation, and Kawhi will only play two games max. There are also a number of rest candidates with so many back-to-backs scheduled. On the Seattle side, it looks like Schroder will miss a game or two, and Crowder is out with the ankle injury. KPJ also shows no signs of coming back this week, plus they've got their own rest candidates. Much like the East, Monday will be instructive. Seattle needs to have a big night since they will be at a pretty severe disadvantage tomorrow.

Pretty sizable advantage for Seattle now...Tampa-Chicago still a toss up It’ll take a miracle for me to win. No Lebron, Lavine, Sabonis, Fox, Murray, or Burks. I don’t see how I’m going to win a fifth category.

Yeah, I'd put money on the west being closer than the east, when it's all said and done.
