One thing I just noticed about the East... If Chicago, Orlando, and Atlanta all win this week, then the East playoff teams will be set. Toronto, Tampa, Orlando, and Chicago would be in as all would be 8-7, and no other team could finish with 8 wins. that’s no fun, miege they all lost lol tbb 8-7 (clinched?) mia 7-8 orl 7-8 chi 7-8 was 7-8 mem 6-8-1 (still in it?) looks like 6 teams for 3 spots

WESTERN CONFERENCE
x--1. Houston Rockets (13-2)
Simple now. Win or a Phoenix loss locks up the 1 seed for Houston.
x--2. Phoenix Suns (13-2)
The Suns can't fall below 3 at this point.
x--3. Colorado Swannies (12-3)
Colorado will be locked into the 2-3 match-up as the 3-seed.
x--4. Utah Jazz (10-5)
The Jazz are officially back in the playoffs and will be in the play-in.
x--5. Portland Trailblazers (10-5)
The Blazers can still finish fourth with a win and Utah loss.
E--6. Kansas City Kings (7-8)
E--7. Seattle Supersonics (5-10)
E--9. Golden St. Warriors (5-10)
E--9. OKC Thunder (4-11)
E--10. Las Vegas Gamblers (3-12)
EASTERN CONFERENCE
z--1. New York Knicks (10-4-1)
With their win over Toronto, the Knicks have clinched the top seed in the East once again.
x--2. Toronto Raptors (9-6)
Toronto defeats Orlando, and clinches their playoff spot. They'll be the 2-seed no matter what happens.
x--3. Tampa Bay Bull Sharks (8-7)
UPDATE: After going through all the tiebreaking scenarios, there is no possible tie that would result in the Bull Sharks missing the playoffs. They are in no matter what happens.
4. Miami Heat (7-8) Key Wins: Orlando (x2), Washington, Chicago Key Losses: Tampa Bay, Atlanta, New York, Memphis (x2), Toronto Remaining Non-Division Games: Magic Number: 1
Miami jumps to 4 since they own all relevant tiebreakers. This puts them in a very enviable position. Beat Tampa Bay, and they're in.
5. Washington Wizards (7-8) Key Wins: Orlando, Chicago, Memphis Key Losses: Toronto, Miami, New York, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Chicago Remaining Non-Division Games: Magic Number: 1
The Wizards(!) pulled off a mammoth upset of the Knicks, and now they can clinch a playoff spot with a win.
6. Orlando Magic (7-8) Key Wins: Memphis, Atlanta, Chicago, Tampa Bay Key Losses: Washington, Miami, Tampa Bay
Just a crushing loss to Toronto, and now they will need to beat Memphis to get in (and they'll need either a Miami or Washington loss too).
7. Chicago Bulls (7-8) Key Wins: Toronto (x2), New York, Memphis, Tampa Bay, Washington Key Losses: Washington, Atlanta, Orlando, Miami
If Orlando's loss to Toronto was crushing, there are no words to describe Chicago's loss to Brooklyn. There are still pathways in, but they need to beat NYK. We'll lay out tiebreaking scenarios tomorrow.
8. Memphis Grizzlies (6-8-1) Key Wins: Atlanta, Miami (x2) Key Losses: Orlando, Chicago, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Washington, Atlanta
The Grizzlies got the win and Magic loss they needed, but Washington's win complicates matters. They'll need a win, a Miami loss, and a Chicago loss to get in.
E--9. Atlanta Hawks (5-10)
E--10. Brooklyn Nets (1-14)
X--: Clinched Playoff Berth Z--: Clinched Top Seed E--: Eliminated
CURRENT LOTTO ODDS 1. Brooklyn Nets 2. Las Vegas Gamblers 3. Brooklyn Nets (OKC) 4. Tampa Bay Bull Sharks (ATL) - 58/67 5. Brooklyn Nets (SEA) - 59/66 6. Brooklyn Nets (GS) - 65 7. Tampa Bay Bull Sharks (MEM) 8. Brooklyn Nets (CHI) - 61 9. Brooklyn Nets (KC) - 62 10. Orlando Magic - 63

FIRST OFF, NEW UPDATE Tampa Bay has made the playoffs. After running through all the potential tiebreaking scenarios, there is no scenario that exists with Tampa Bay on the outside looking in. They have clinched.
Ok, let's figure this out...
MIAMI -Makes the playoffs with a win -Can make the playoffs with a loss if the following also happens: Chicago loses and Washington loses
ORLANDO -Makes the playoffs with a win and a Miami loss -Orlando CANNOT make the playoffs with a loss
CHICAGO -The only scenario in which the Bulls fail to make the playoffs with a win is if Miami loses, and both Orlando and Washington win. In that case, New York, Toronto, and Tampa would finish top 3. Then the following would be tied at 8-8:
Orlando Chicago Washington
Orlando went 1-1 against the other two, Chicago went 1-2, and Washington went 2-1. Washington would be the 4, and Orlando would be the 5.
-Can they make it with a loss? No. Either Tampa loses, which pushes Miami and the winner of Memphis/Orlando in (unless Washington wins). Or Tampa wins, which puts Chicago into a tie with Miami and potentially Washington and Orlando, and if Orlando is in there, then Memphis won and takes the 4 spot, meaning Miami wins the tiebreaker for 5. Clear as mud.
MEMPHIS -Makes the playoffs with a win and some combination of Miami, Washington, and Chicago losses... they would need at least two.
WASHINGTON -Makes the playoffs with a win and a Chicago loss, or a win and a Miami loss -They cannot make the playoffs with a loss

Yeah there have been multiple matchups in which a few stats would have made a huge difference, at least one of which was due to a late scratch with a player on the bench that would have made the difference
