I am better then orlando and atomic is overrating himself.
Actual order:
1.Atlanta 2. Tampa Bay 3. Houston (because Atomic made this article) 4. Orlando 5. Memphis (because of the article)

in all actuality, houston is not the best. i am not the best. to be the best, you beat the best. right now, atlanta is the best team.
1. Atlanta 2. Tampa Bay 3. Memphis 4. Orlando 5. Houston
I may be ENTIRELY wrong...I am not trying to offend anyone..but based on what I see now, this is how it is...

OK, so here are my EARLY South Division Power Rankings.
I tried to go more in depth than previous years, so here's how I did it:
Each starter was compared across the board with the other four starters. So, the PGs were compared with each other, SGs, etc.
After the order of the position was determined, the slots were weighted. Each player was given points, and the total added up to ten (for example, Paul received 5 points, Rose 2, Brooks, Nelson, and Westbrook 1 for a total of 10).
Here's what I got:
1. Tampa Bay 18 points 2. Memphis 16 3. Atlanta 12.5 4. Orlando 9 5. Houston 4.5
BREAKDOWN: Tampa Bay and Memphis appear to be about dead even. The difference between the two was Chris Paul's dominance at point guard. Should he be healthy all year, which is what I'm predicting, he will be an absolute monster... Atlanta looks like it took a step back this year. Wade is great, and Westbrook is on the rise, but they aren't likely to be as deep as last year. A lot of that has to do with extenuating circumstances. Guys like Morrow, Hawes, Tolliver, and Gibson are likely to have smaller roles than they were last year... Orlando could have a solid core this year, depending on what happens with Favors, but I think he won't put up much for at least a couple of years... Houston's not good.
At face value, Tampa Bay and Memphis will be the two to watch. As much as I want to give Atlanta the benefit of the doubt (they are the defending champions), they look to have too many question marks on their team. Orlando and Houston won't be competing for the division, but Orlando should be much improved.
Ultimately, it will come down to owners staying active and setting their lineups each day... as it always does.
