The off season : Trust the process
It has been a rough couple of seasons for the Warriors, dealing with injuries and a lack of direction.
Golden State decided to change the direction of the club and did some internal restructuring.
In the off season they hired Sam Hinkie as a special advisor.
It started off with trading Ricky Rubio, Chuma Okeke and a late pick for the re sign rights to Tobias Harris and Hassan Whiteside.
Then Golden State sent LeVert and a cap hit to Atlanta for the 9th pick and Anfernee Simons.
Draft day : the Warriors sign Anthony Edwards with the 3rd pick, Devin Vassell with the 9th pick and Isaac Okoro with the 12th pick, not a bad haul for a re building team.
Then with the draft behind them Golden State signed Tobias Harris to a five year contract, a necessary step in stabilizing the roster.
In one of the more interesting moves in recent history the Dubs sent recently drafted Anthony Edwards, Devin Vassell and a pick to Oklahoma for the re sign rights to Devin Booker, the budding all star the fans have been waiting for. Booker was quickly signed to a five year contract. . Then free agency begins : the Warriors sign former 5th pick in 2019 Jarret Culver and veteran presence Derrick Rose.
In an attempt to strengthen the roster they traded Evan Fournier, Terrence Ross, Isaac Okoro, a pick and a pick swap for Jimmy Butler and Seth Curry.
Some depth signings of Dario Saric and Tomas Satoransky.
Kyle Kuzma was acquired for cash.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker and a pick were sent to Toronto for Marvin Bagley former 4th overall pick in 2018.
In a surprise move fan favorite Rui Hachimura and Kyle Kuzma were sent to Chicago for Obi Toppin and a 2023 pick.
Winding down an exciting off season Golden State signs Jeremy Lamb who is recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee, expecting him to return in mid to late January.
All in all an eventful off season with a team built to be competitive this year and for the years to come.

2020 - 2021 - Disaster Strikes
Well the off season started off on a positive note as the team brought in talents to stay competitive and make a playoff run like Devin Booker, Jimmy Butler, Tobias Harris and depth pieces Seth Curry, Jeremy Lamb, Derrick Rose, Hassan Whiteside and took a flier on former second overall pick Marvin Bagley.
In this strange Covid - 19 season that is where the buck stops as injuries plagued the team for the entire year, finding a week where the team was healthy were few and far between. When the team got relatively healthy the playoff window had already closed.
On a positive note the team is set up to be competitive for the next few years.
In an attempt to bring some good to the season and avoid the gross overpayments in free agency (too many teams with an abundance of cash) Golden State brought in Sekou Doumboya, Tyrese Maxey (via trade), Derrick Jones Jr (via trade), Al Horford, Daniel Theis and Josh Jackson.
Adding Sekou Doumboya (20 years old) and Josh Jackson (24 years old) helps alleviate some of the pain of not having a draft pick next season.
Ending the season on a positive with a win. It will be interesting to see if Golden State is active in the off season or stands pat with the current roster.
Until next season Warriors fans!

The off season : "The Dubs are back baby!"
In another extremely active off season Golden State has put together the a competitive roster that will be hard to play against. They started the season with trading T.Maxey, J.Hayes and a draft pick for P.Siakam's rights. Then traded a future pick for the 15th pick, C.Okeke and J.Culver. And then quickly paired the 15th pick with T.Harris for K.Porzingis. In turn K.Porzingis was traded for N.Vucevic, D.Avdija and a pick. J.Jackson was swapped for K.Nunn in a cap saving move. DJJ was then traded for the 20th pick. Then the 20th pick and M.Bagley were traded for the 11th pick in which Golden State drafted F.Wagner. Fred Van Fleet's re sign rights were then aquired for D.Avdija and C.Okeke. In another cap saving move O.Toppin, J.Culver a pick plus cash were traded for L.Walker and F.Campazzo. Then Golden State was in a three team deal for cash. P,Siakam and F.VanFleet were signed, some teams around the league doubted they could fit them under the salary cap. In a strange move Butler and Doumbouya were traded for Middleton and Hayes. A three team trade between Washington, Orlando and Golden State - GSW received H.Diallo, M.Monk and T.Bryant, Orlando received F.Wagner and Washington received D.Bane and J.Hayes. Golden State then signed D.Gallinari and C.Thomas. T.Bryant was then swapped for E.Gordon and then signed K. Love. Finally D.Gallinari was traded for cash to make room for P.Siakam's eventual return from injury.
That recaps the off season, and now we are two weeks into the season. The Dubs started the season with a win over last years champions the Chicago Bulls, to be fair this is a completely rebuilt Chicago team but starting off the year with a win is always positive. Next up is a rebuilding Orlando team which Golden State took care of fairly easily. Both these wins come without border line all star P.Siakam,K.Nunn and T.Bryant before he was traded. Next up comes and extremely hard test in the always competitive Tampa Bay Bull Sharks. This also comes at a time when covid and the injury bug are starting to creep into the season. P.Siakam and K. Nunn are still out. D.Theis has a toe issue and is questionable. K.Middleton and K.Love are in quarantine for health and safety protocols. Tampa is a tough team to be short handed against but the health and safety of the players is a priority.
On a more positive note D.Booker is starting to warm up and is playing well. A.Horford seems like a good signing early on and has found a way to turn back the clock. S.Curry has been on fire lately. N.Vucevic and K.Middleton have been very nice additions. Last but not least Fred VanFleet has been up and down but is starting to find his footing and even out. The exciting part is not the wins, it is that Golden state is finding a way to win as a team. Even without a key player like P.Siakam and down a couple players and having a shortened roster the Dubs have looked competitive, strong and have found a way to win. A healthy Golden State squad will definitely be a team that will be able to compete with the top teams in the league.
All in all this was and exciting off season and the town is brimming with excitement.

Early season review:
Three match ups and three wins, not a bad start to the season. Despite being down P.Siakam and an assortment of rotation players and then K.Middleton to Covid, Golden State managed wins over rebuilding Chicago champs from last season, Orlando and an always dangerous three time champ Tampa Bay. A good start to the season.
This weeks match up is an intriguing Toronto team who may not be rebuilding too long with the amount of young talent they have. Then a hard match up with Atlanta and then Brooklyn. After that it is a vicious stretch starting with Oklahoma and then going to Colorado, Phoenix, Houston, Portland and finally Seattle. To say this is a hard stretch of the schedule is an extreme understatement, there will be playoff implications in these matches.
Rumor has it that Golden State is looking to bolster their roster with R.Jackson being a target.
The excitement in the city is there as the fans are waiting for Golden States playoff drought to end. When this team finally becomes fully heathy it will definitely be a tough match up for any team in the league.
Until next time Warriors fans!

Golden State, playoff bound!!!
Well in a complete turnaround from last season Golden State finishes with a 14 - 2 record and sits at the top of the league going into the playoffs. A new strategy was put in place last season and the results are paying off in a big way. From starters to role players the Dubs have added players that can contribute at every position. One of the strongest starting fives in the league followed by solid contributors make this a solid contender.
Last season Golden State encouraged fans to “Trust the process” and they are being rewarded with a stellar record, top seed and a trip to the playoffs. Between the new approach, scouting department and not being afraid to make a trade the future is looking bright. Some trades were controversial and some were shrewd but in the end it came together.
The Dubs took some risks this off season acquiring FVV an undersized guard who had not yet proven to be a number one option and using a valuable resign on him. And also doing the same for an injured Siakam, making this commitment to an injured player coming off a down year was a little questionable at the time. Both these players have been key contributors to Golden States continued success.
What was the thought process going into this season?
Well for the off season we had two things on the agenda, add two more starting caliber players and add a center. We achieved that with FVV, Siakam and Vucevic. Once that was done the focus turned to adding a supporting cast to surround our starting five. Scouting was a big factor in building this team, we also took some gambles on players that other teams did not see as much value in.
There were also two goals going into the season:
One, we wanted to build a team that was tough to play against and that no one wanted to match up against.
Two, we wanted to make the playoffs.
I believe we achieved both of those goals.
How does finishing first in the league change things for your team?
Honestly it does not change anything. Our team has been in a slump for some years now, so we are an extremely humble group and just happy to be in the playoffs. Finishing with a stellar record never hurts, but the West is loaded with talent and we cannot overlook any team that we get matched up against. Chicago proved last season that a good record is not everything, you just need to make the playoffs and then it is a whole new beast. The West is loaded with talent, just making the playoffs is an achievement in itself.
How do you feel about not having any future draft picks?
It is always nice having draft capitol, but we felt it was necessary to use those draft picks to build the team that we have now. We are comfortable with our scouting department and feel we can find talent outside of the draft.
Do you have a team in mind that you would prefer to play in the first round?
No, we are focused on our team and staying healthy. Our team is coming into the playoffs playing some good basketball, so we are comfortable with any match that we get.
So with the new found success this year does this change the how you will approach next season? The past two seasons Golden State has not been shy about trading players and making moves.
Lol, it is a bit early to be talking about next season. Right now we are focused on whichever team we get in the first round.
We are happy with our core group and are excited about the future.
What do you think about the lack of action at the trade deadline?
It was a strangely quiet trade deadline. A lot of teams were already happy with the rosters they had, the playoff race especially in the West was very tight. I thought some teams would have taken advantage of their expiring contracts. Chicago and Memphis got a nice trade done though. Not the usual trade deadline, but it has been an interesting year.
Well that is all the questions I have for you today, good luck in the playoffs, these are very exciting times in the bay area!!!
Thank you.
That is all we have for you today Warriors fans, until next time.
Go dubs go!!!

Golden State Warriors: Championship Edition!!!Wow, just wow.... the Warriors have ended their playoff drought and also their championship drought in the same season.
In an extremely tough Western conference Golden State managed to pull off a magical run despite almost being knocked off by Kansas City. All the hard work and a change in philosophy helped lead to the ultimate goal and becoming the 2021 - 2022 NBA champions
Golden State started off the year as a mid tier team, newly rebuilt and had not been tested in any way. A couple of wins early in the season gave the team and fans a glimmer of optimism, but still this was an untested team trying to make an impression in an absolutely stacked Western conference. In the end of regular season the Warriors managed to edge out Kansas City for the best record in the league.
Building a starting line up of Fred VanVleet, Devin Booker, Jimmy Butler, Pascal Siakam and Nicola Vucevic made this a good looking team on paper. But it was also the depth additions that pushed this team to its first championship. Players like Reggie Jackson, Seth Curry, Aaron Gordon, Kevin, Love, Al Horford, Herbert Jones and Grayson Allen all helped at different times in the year.
The city has erupted and the streets are flooded with fans!!! How does it feel winning your first championship? Words cannot describe the feeling, it is such a special moment with an amazing group of guys! Was it strange facing Tampa Bay in the finals? They definitely have the playoff experience with their 3 titles and multiple playoff runs.It was not facing Tampa that was strange, even though they are a phenomenal team. We had confidence we could win but then KC came along. It was a rude awakening having such a close call against Kansas City. We had to take it back a step and re-evaluate the team and what we were doing. Did you have any concerns going into the finals? Yes. After the close call against KC we were definitely concerned about the depth and strength of Tampa Bay. They had deep talent at all positions and the depth players to support them. Does winning a championship change how you will approach next season? Lol it is a little early for that. But no it does not change anything. We built this team to be strong for the next few seasons, this title run came earlier than expected. Considering our original goals were to be a tough team to play against and to make the playoffs period, this was definitely a pleasant end to the season. Until next season Warriors fans!!!The team: Point Guard Fred VanVleet - $9,000,000 (2025,2026x) SG Seth Curry $250,000 (2023) SG Reggie Jackson $250,000 (2022) Patty Mills $250,000 (2022) Shooting Guard Devin Booker $13,000,000 (2024, 2025x) PG Grayson Allen $250,000 (2023) Luke Kennard $250,000 (2022) Small Forward Jimmy Butler $10,500,000 (2023, 2024x) SG Power Forward Al Horford $1,200,000 (2024) C Aaron Gordon $8,000,000 (2024x) SF Pascal Siakam $10,500,000 (2025,2026x) C Kevin Love $450,000 (2022) Center Nicola Vucevic $11,000,000 (2024, 2025x) IR - Kendrick Nunn $500,000 (2023) Kemba Walker $250,000 (2023)D-League - Herbert Jones $400,000 (2022)

2022 - 2023 Golden State Warriors Defending Champions
Well Warriors fans it has been a long off season after that amazing run that led the Warriors to their first championship. This year Golden State brings in a different looking team as it went on a youth movement in the off season.
Golden state made 6 trades so far in their search to make another playoff run while maintaining a youthful core.
In a surprise move rookie fan favorite Herb Jones was traded to Washington for Chris Boucher, $1 million and the 20th pick in the draft this year. The scouting department was excited about this pick and the players that were still available.
Then Aaron Gordon in a cap saving move was shipped to Oklahoma for Jae Crowder and Russell Westbrook’s resign rights.
Seth Curry and the 20th pick were then shipped out for Jaren Jackson Jr. and $1.2 million in cash. When JJJ became available Golden State stopped worrying about the cap room and scooped up the talented young big man. He will start the year on the injured reserve list, but the Warriors are optimistic that he will be back soon enough to make an impact on the season. JJJ will make a great addition and 6th man to the already talented starting five from last season's championship team.
Then another fan favorite in Al Horford was traded for Jae’Sean Tate and the re-sign rights to Joshua Primo. Rumor had it Al Horford was looking to take a step back and would possibly not play back-to-back games. So as Horford gets closer to the end of his career he was moved for a young talent in Primo.
Then in a strange move Golden State traded their 2025 draft pick for $7 million in an attempt to pick up a free agent. This did not go as planned as most of the players left got overpaid. The Warriors decided to sit back and keep searching for youthful talent.
Then newly acquired Chris Boucher was then flipped for Mattisse Thybulle another young and defensively talented player and $2 million.
Joshua Primo was then promptly resigned.
In free agency the Warriors focused on young talented players and signed Tre Jones, A.J. Griffin (who should have been drafted), Jake LaRavia (D-League), Donte DiVincenzo, Isaiah Livers and brought back Nickeil Alexander-Walker.
The starting lineup is the same, but the supporting cast is different and more youthful. Talents like Herb Jones, Araron Gordon, Seth Curry, Kevin Love, Reggie Jackson and the list goes on will be missed. Golden State has faith in their scouting department and hope that some of the young talent will be able to fill the voids left by these talented players. The stockpile of cash the Warriors have built up will come in handy during the season and in future trade negotiations.
All in all, not a bad off season for the returning champs.
Until next time Warriors fans!

Golden State Warriors: Back to basics
Well Warriors fans, after a disappointing season the team has made some changes to the depth of the roster to get back in the playoff hunt.
After the championship season Golden State added Jaren Jackson Jr. in hopes that a strong top six would bring them back to the playoffs, sadly the season did not turn out as planned in an extremely disappointing season. In the end a lack of depth and overconfidence was the Warriors downfall.
So, with JJJ being just a rental Golden State traded him for Mark Williams a promising prospect and three draft picks in an effort recoup some value from the failed JJJ experiment. They also traded J. Crowder for D.Smith Jr. and J. McDaniels.
To start the off season the Warriors were focused on adding depth. They traded two picks and I.Livers for K.Middleton and L.Dort. It has been a long-time dream to team up Middleton and Butler (spoiler short lived lol). Then they traded 2 more picks and D.Smith Jr. for D.Russell and cash to help add more depth to the team. Thybulle and cash were then sent to KC for M.Strus. L.Dort was then sent to Utah for cash to clear a roster spot. And then in a shocking move fan favorite J.Butler and M.Stus were traded for B.Beal and Jaden McDaniels. There are talks of retiring Jimmy's number as he has been so important to the culture change and bringing a championship the Golden State.
And last but not least the Warriors joined an impressive eleven team trade in which they swapped D.Russell and NAW for M.Robinson to round out the team positionally and also save on some cap space. Robinson will help add depth to the C position and take some pressure off Vucevic and the second year Williams.
J.Butler going to KC and DLo going to Tampa was not ideal in the big trade, some contenders definitely got stronger.
They also signed prospect N.Clowney to a D-league contract and promising prospect K.Murray as well to round out the roster. The scouting staff has been on fire in recent years and are hoping to continue this trend with these signings.
So, in the end Golden State achieved its goal of adding depth and having a more balanced roster to continue the playoff hunt.
Until next time Warriors fans!!!
