Does anyone else feel like the start of the season has snuck up on them? I really don't know what happened to September. That month flew by. It's been a little quiet lately, but with games starting in less than two weeks, I wanted to get this general thread going. Anyone want to make any predictions? About our league or otherwise.

Brooklyn need a centre big time. They should try and work a trade with Pacers for Turner. Claxton is a backup and Sharpe needs another season to gain more experience.

I dont know why, but I feel like Claxton is going to be solid this year.
Denver was my pick to win it all before Murray left the last preseason game with an injury.
I'm not sure how much a prediction is, but I think Philly crashes and burns. So many people are picking them as title contenders, and I just don't see it.

Hopefully Claxton does ok but i just don’t see it.
I did not realise Murray went down again. Is it a knee again?

I agree about Philly. Its GSW all the way as much as I don’t want to see that. They add Wiseman, Kuminga in his second season after a promising rookie campaign.

Hopefully Claxton does ok but i just don’t see it. I did not realise Murray went down again. Is it a knee again? I think initial concern is it's his same knee because he was grabbing the back of it. I haven't seen any reports yet, bit some are saying it might be hamstring. If they can just keep him and MPJ on the floor, they'll win at least 55 games.

I am looking forward to Cleveland and how they go. I'm quite excited. I thought they looked really damn good against Philly, and that was without Mobley. I'm trying to temper my expectations, but if Mobley comes out and makes a leap, that's a top 3 team in the east. I'm not sure if I've asked this before kots, but how did you become a nets fan?

When I got into basketball here in Aus most people were Laker, Boston or Knicks fans and then of course Jordan came along and people became Bulls fans when basketball started to become hugely popular here. There were those that followed other teams too but not many. I did not want to be like the herd and start supporting a team that were winners so went for New Jersey and stayed with them ever since. I did think about changing teams and to Houston when Olajuwon was dominating but stuck fat with the Nets. Have not regretted it since and when we became Brooklyn was much better to say than New Jersey. I am sure one day the Nets will be successful a bit like my fantasy team here - haha.

Man, if I had known this when we started, I would have happily swapped the Nets name and branding with you lol. I would be curious to know how people became fans of the teams they root for. Particularly our owners outside the states. I know teefbe is a Magic fan, anyone else want to share?

I saw Dwayne Wade have a perfect game from the bench during the Olympics, and I like rooting for an "underdog" against Kobe. Shaq was also on that Heat team so that's when I started supporting the Heat. I'm not a huge fan though, I like seeing a lot of teams and other underdog stories (Mavericks championship for example).

Huge fan of David 'The Admiral' Robinson then Duncan so I follow the Spurs. Also liked the Malone / Stockton combo ... but a fan of a few other teams but just enjoy watching quality NBA games like most of us 👍

By the way, if we could also use this for any power rankings discussion, rather than clogging that thread, it would be appreciated!
